UN Alliance of Civilizations: 5th Global Forum – Youth Event

 

In January 2013 Vienna saw 150 young people from all over the world coming together to prepare recommendations around the topics Freedom of religion, Media pluralism and Migration.

The United Nations Alliance of Civilization (UNAOC) was established in 2005, at the initiative of the Governments of Spain and Turkey.

The Alliance of Civilizations aims to improve understanding and cooperative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and religions. It also helps to counter the forces that fuel polarization and extremism.

Each Global Forum foresees a youth event a day before to involve young people in the elaboration of recommendations for the work of the UNAOC.

Role of Limina: Peter was one of the three facilitators of the youth event as well as consultant to the organisers team concerning the design of the online phase before and the event itself.
